  • Ducklings Hatched! May 15 & 16, 2017

A few years back, I built this pond as well as a native garden that provides much-needed habitat for all sorts of insects and animals. Only 3% of prairie habitat remains, so it’s up to us to use our own yards to provide habitat for Monarch Butterflies, Ruby-throated Hummingbirds, American Toads, and much more. We need to plant plants that are native to our areas. Here in the U.S., plants like Butterflyweed, Great Blue Lobelia, Bush’s Coneflower, Stout Blue-eyed Grass, and Long-headed Coneflower are all beneficial to local wildlife, but that is just a few plants from a very long list.

On April 7, 2017, the first egg was laid. She would go on to lay 13 total. Of those 13 eggs, 12 hatched on May 15, 2017. The following day, they began to file out of the window well. She had to teach them more than once, but they figured it out quicker than I expected. I have a small rock in the window well for toads to use to get out if they fall in, and the ducklings wisely took advantage of that.

Once they were all out, she started walking them around to get used to things. She specifically led them to the bog. After that, she decided it was time to go. She left the pond area, and headed north through the neighbors yards. I will never knowingly see those ducklings again, but hopefully Mrs. Duck will be back next year for her third year nesting by my pond.

  • Animals Reunited With Owners After Years !

The special bonds between humans and animals can sometimes be just as strong as a normal friendship, therefore it can also be extremely painful to be apart from each other. Today we are going to show you animals that were finally reunited with their owners after not seeing each other for a very long time.

  • 10 jaw-dropping animal rescues!

The animals in this video were all in desperate need of help. Their cries were heard thanks to your donations and the local people who called our helpline to make sure these animals were saved.

All to those people who disliked this video are people without a heart and soul, I honestly love the animals and more the puppies, this videos make me so happy because this is the proof that there is still people with a heart on this world that is getting worse slowly.

  • Stuck for hours in rock-solid tar, puppies rescued. Watch til the end.

Three puppies were submerged in rock solid tar where they had been stuck, unable to move even an inch for many hours. They were terrified and being unable to move, could only cry out in fear.

It took many hours over several days for our team to soften the tar by massaging oil and giving many baths, but these three puppies had incredibly strong spirits.

  • Mother Buffalo Gives Birth To Baby But Killed By Lions

This is the heroic moment a stray dog was rescued after getting stuck in molten RUBBER.

The hapless female pooch was scampering around the industrial estate when it stepped on the rubberized asphalt in Nakhon Nayok, Thailand on December 6.

Thoughtless workers had dumped the waste material normally used for repairing roads on the dusty ground next to a silo.

However, they did not think about the dozens of poor stray Aspin dogs that roam around the area.

The light brown pooch stepped on the thick, sticky goo and was unable to move. It fell over and became stuck in the toxic mixture, with only its mouth poking out for air.

Shocked local Supatra Baisri, 30, was walking through the area when he found the dog lying in the mix.

He said: ”I couldn’t go into the rubber because I would have been stuck, too. I couldn’t even reach the dog with a stick to help her.”

Supatra called the emergency services who raced to the scene. They commandeered an excavator to dig the pooch out of the rubber.

Workers at a nearby factory doused the dog in benzin oil to remove the rubber and prevent its skin and fur from being seriously damaged.

The rescue operation took two hours and the dog, which vets have named Mali, is now safe.

One of the vets who treated Mali said: ”People need to be much more careful about how they dispose of rubbish. It can cause so much harm to animals.

  • A drowning dog’s desperate wish comes true.

We got a call to rescue a dog fighting for her life after falling in a deep well. She may have been swimming for hours before a villager saw her and called our helpline. She was quickly losing her strength and could barely hold on to the sides of the well.

  • Brave Wood Ducklings Take 30-Foot Leap of Faith

A dozen wood ducklings have just hatched in their treetop nest. Next comes the hard part: each and every one will have to leap 30 feet into the Mississippi River, to join their mother.

love how between the narration, the camera angles/effects and the music, how much raw drama and emotion these Smithsonian people can conjure up.
You could literally have this crew do an in-depth documentary on your tea kettle in its journey to a whistle on your stove top n it’d leave you in tears by the end of it.

  • Baby Chick Jumps Off Cliff

Barnacle geese regularly create nests on high cliffs to avoid predation, however within a few days of hatching goslings must jump off these cliff faces in order to meet their parents who are foraging on the grass below…

The young of species required to make astonishing jumps from cavities and cliffs have an incredible softness of their bones for the first few days of life, without which the fall would surely be fatal. It is astounding that a gosling can fall 100ft and survive at 2 days of age, where they could not at 1 week.”

  • Flying Fish Picked Off From Above And Below

Flying fish can make powerful, self-propelled leaps out of water into air, where their long, wing-like fins enable gliding flight for considerable distances. It appears these Flying Fish are in a no win situation, picked off above the surface by Frigatebird’s and devoured underwater by the Dorado.
