Two lionesses attack a wildebeest that fights back and hooks one of its horns into the leg of a lioness. In a twist of fate, the lionesses end up running far from the wildebeest!

The spectacular fight for survival took place at Kruger National Park. Latestsightings.com shared the footage captured by Hannes Joubert, who came across the sighting about 24km north of Satara Rest Camp on the way to Olifants Camp.

Lionesses and understand they have to kill to survive, but once in awhile it is nice to see the prey get away. They will be out hunting again soon……….I hope that lioness wasn’t hurt too badly.

What an experience and privilege to be able to watch the battle between a Leopard and a Porcupine. It was so close to my car and it happened so fast that I could not take down the fight.

A leopard vs porcupine is but one of the iconic sightings that everyone wants to see.

Ard van de Wetering had an opportunity to capture that sighting on film on his trip to the Kruger National Park recently.

The symbiotic relationship between porcupine and leopard is very touching. I was unaware porcupines were nature’s acupuncturists actively helping other species afflicted with a wide array of ailments.

That porcupine moving side ways. So cool for a little fellow to be able to defend himself against Apex predators and still enjoy a good lifestyle

for some reason I imagined this would be a leopard running full speed into a porcupine

I love how the leopard is inspecting the porcupine to see how to bite it, like it’s looking it up and down and thinking “How do I…….above? No, that’s where all the spikes are…..how about the belly-nope spikes too”
